Begin your adventure with breakfast at your Kigali hotel before meeting your English-speaking driver-guide for a detailed briefing. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a deeply moving site that honors the victims of the 1994 genocide. Afterward, enjoy a scenic drive through Rwanda’s rolling hills and across the border into Uganda. Arrive in Bwindi/Mgahinga Gorilla National Park by late afternoon, where you can relax and soak in the peaceful mountain air. Overnight: Traveler’s Rest Hotel or similar

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a pre-trek orientation led by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Trek through the dense rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. Depending on their location, the trek may take 2– 10 hours, but every step is rewarded with the chance to spend an unforgettable hour with the gorillas. Return to the lodge for lunch and an afternoon at leisure surrounded by the forest’s serene beauty. Overnight: Traveler’s Rest Hotel or similar

This morning, you can choose between two unique experiences.
Option 1: Second Gorilla Trek (Permit Required – USD 800). Venture into a different section of the park to meet another gorilla family, offering fresh insight into their behavior and group dynamics.
Option 2: Golden Monkey Trek (Included). Join rangers in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park for a lighter hike to observe the playful golden monkeys among bamboo forests. Return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation. Overnight: Traveler’s Rest Hotel or similar
